Civil Government Projects
CPS has provided broad support to the Civil Government Sector
since inception in 2002, and possesses extensive qualifications
providing full lifecycle software engineering and COTS
implementation support to organizations such as the Department of
Veterans Affairs, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. On
the Work Study Management System (WSMS), we support the
re-engineering of legacy technologies using the J2EE development
platform and the Rational suite of development tools. On the FDIC
Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) InfoBase
Maintenance Contract, CPS has provided a variety of content
management, web development and IT training support services in
support of their Information Technology Examination Handbook
InfoBase. On the FFIEC InfoBase Re-engineering contract, CPS is
providing lifecycle design and engineering services to re-platform
the InfoBase to an enterprise class Content Management
solution.

The Work Study Management System
(WSMS) is a legacy application that currently supports a majority
of the VBA Educations Work Study claims. Each of the four Education
Regional offices owns and operates a copy of the Visual Dbase
single-user, stand-alone WSMS application. Each version of the
application runs under windows platform, using Dbase 4 technology
and has its own database. CPS, and our partners were tasked to
migrate (re-Platform) the legacy WSMS application(s) into the VAs
to-be architecture by reverse engineering the existing WSMS
application code; consolidate the four databases into a single
database; and develop J2EE code and implement WSMS into the VA
corporate environment. Additional functionality is being developed
to support the new Chapter 1606 and 1607 requirements.

CPS has been working with the Federal Financial Institutions
Examination Council (FFIEC) since April 2009 to provide support
services for the FDIC FFIEC Information Technology Examination
Handbook InfoBase. Specific assignments include revision to the
Retail Payment Systems IT Examination Handbook Booklet, the
Supervision of Technology Service Providers (TSP) IT Examination
Handbook Booklet, and the Fedline IT Examination Handbook
Booklets.

CPS has been awarded a contract to assist the FFIEC in
redesigning and implementing its Information Technology Examination
Handbook InfoBase. CPS performed an assessment of market leading
web content management solutions and selected the Microsoft
ASP.NET-based Umbraco solution for implementation.
